Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 10, 2026
Our Commitment
VynMed Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities — including the clinicians, DONs, compliance officers, and facility administrators who interact with VynMed on the job every day. We are continually improving the experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to both our marketing site and the VynScan product itself.
Conformance Status
Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
These web pages are designed to be accessible to users, including those with disabilities, using commonly available web browsers and assistive technologies. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility guidelines as our minimum bar and actively work toward Level AAA where practical.
Measures Taken
To achieve this, we have implemented the following measures across vynmed.com and the VynScan device interface:
- Semantic HTML markup with a proper heading hierarchy (h1, h2, h3).
- Alternative text for all meaningful images, with empty
altattributes on purely decorative images. - Form inputs associated with
<label>elements viafor/idattributes. - Full keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements.
- Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI).
- Skip-to-content links to bypass repetitive navigation.
- ARIA attributes where needed (
aria-live,aria-label,aria-atomic). - Real
<button>elements instead of<div>s with click handlers. - Responsive design supporting multiple screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels up to 200%.
- Reduced-motion support via the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query.
Technologies Used
Our website relies on the following technologies:
- HTML5 semantic elements
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)
- CSS for styling and layout
- JavaScript (progressively enhanced — core content works without it)
Assessment Approach
This accessibility statement reflects a combination of:
- Self-evaluation of all web pages and product screens.
- Automated accessibility scanning (axe, pa11y, Lighthouse).
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing.
- Screen reader compatibility review (VoiceOver, NVDA).
- WCAG 2.1 conformance checklist verification.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:
- Third-party embedded content (maps, analytics) may have limited accessibility controls.
- Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible — contact us for alternate formats.
- Animated visualizations may not be ideal for users with motion sensitivity; reduced-motion mode is honored.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome your feedback. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us — we aim to respond within one business day.
