Why VynMed exists

Rapid drug testing in skilled nursing facilities was built for a world where staff have time to watch every cup, document every chain of custody by hand, and trust every visitor. That world doesn't exist anymore. Understaffed facilities, residents self-administering prescribed controlled substances, and opportunistic diversion have turned a 10-minute urine dip into a legal and compliance liability no DON wants on their desk.

VynMed builds the missing layer — countertop verification that authenticates rapid tests in seconds, fingerprints the chain of custody, and produces the forensic record regulators and plaintiffs' attorneys actually ask for.

What we build

VynScan is a patented, countertop verification device combining computer vision strip authentication with tamper-evident chain-of-custody capture. It is designed for the way nursing homes actually operate — single-button operation, local processing, and a compliance-ready audit trail that survives a CMS survey and a lawsuit.

The underlying method is protected by U.S. Patent 12,308,098 B1, issued to founder Walter George Bischoff Jr. The company is a Delaware C-Corporation incorporated April 5, 2026.

The founder

VynMed was founded by Walter George Bischoff Jr., sole inventor on the issued patent and the company's President and CEO. Walter previously spent years inside the healthcare operating reality this product exists to fix — watching manual verification fail, watching documentation gaps turn into audit findings, and building the device he wished had existed.
